You need white diesel if the work does not relate to agiculture. You can bring your own bales home but you cant draw bales 100 mile away for someone. I think its ruffly the same as england. It cant be for hire or reward. But most things that need doing on the farm can be done with a fastrac with green stuff.

I would stay away from the earlier fastracs they had terrible problems with the gearbox. As the saying goes for the fastrac change the oil, filter and gearbox.

No no. Once the tractor doesn't exceed 50km/h you are grand. The regime is far more complex in the UK and is like you describe.

But most fastracs will go over 50k, so i doubt customs will accept the excuse " i swear i wont go over 50, let me run on green"

It does 40k, costs €22k and was made in 1982.
You'll buy loads of much newer 40k and 50k tractors for less than that.

    thats only a 40 k plus 22k for an 1982 ???????

a local contractor to me had a couple of mb tracs over the years and he swears by them.He says the 900 is underrated. It is like a massey 135 a great tractor. All the pumps and bits are driven by belts so very easy to change. If you get and oil leak on a pipe. Cut the fan belt going to the oil pump and no pressure equals no more leaks.

He has a 1500 model now, it does not do much as its on stanby, If the fastrac breaks down.An expensive machine because there a great machine

Buy a fastrac and never look back.

(Because you'll be the fastest thing on the road:P)

The lads i used to work for have a 3155 fastrac and its after costing around 10k to fix, the gearbox naturally. Its a v v clean tractor and the guy who fixed it says he has never seen a 99 one in as good a shape but it had done a lot of ploughing in 2nd gear which was worn and a bearing shattered and made a mess of her total guts internally!!!But a v cool yoke nonetheless

is speed a bid concern to you?? If not, look at a late 80's to mid 90's Case with hydroshift, makes them very easy to drive on the road..
