Well I know there have been a few posts around about the new Jerseys. So here are some pictures of the training Jerseys (Black)

And I hope to god that those are NOT collars. :p

Also it does appear that O2 are still the Ireland sponsors!

You'd think they would have gotten pictures where the players didn't look completely dopey!

Hmm rugby players.. we all look a little dopey sometimes!

I like the look of them and can only be good for the national jersey when it comes out

Yeah Im sure it will look good if they don't make the colour too dodgey

I like the high crests alright. Almost collar bone height.

Fair nice. :D Reminds me of the all-blacks and that's a good thing. Probably would cost an arm and a leg to buy 'em. Anyone know when/if they're released?

Crests are higher on shirts so the sponsor/manufacturer logo shows in TV interviews.

Well the sponsors do pay for the advertising space!

I meant that they are situated as such for that exact purpose.

Well regardless of where the crests are, I honestly thought the jersey was going to be worse! All in all they are not too bad!

Wasnt someone on here saying that this is only temp gear and that the actual training gear will look nothing like this and neither will the jersey?

England RL kit is made by Puma. The training top is fairly similar to the England RL training top albeit different colours. It costs £18. The England RL match jersey is nothing similar but cost £45.

If they are a template design, which I would imagine, just with colour changes then expect similar prices (Except in Yoyos).

This is where I got the prices from www.rugbyleagueonline.co.uk/three

No. The training gear being used is from last year's catalogue as it is needed the earliest.
The playing shirt is a different design and is not from last year's catalogue.

So can you give us a hint if its decent or not? Surely you can tell us that much :D

Waiting for this jersey is killing me. LOL. I dont think there has ever been this much hype over an Ireland rugby jersey...

I mean, look at these crazy b@$t@rd$, they're actually queuing up for it already:

Wondering has there been a date set for its press release then???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 625 ✭✭✭theKramer

I think I have seen it mentioned here that we are looking at a mid/late August release on the Jerseys. The full Irish team are going into camp at the end of August methinks.

yeh they could have released it sooner so we can dis it :) i'd say more of the lions players will be joining up with their provinces in the next few weeks (the leinster lions players are gonna be at the training day at wicklow rfc wednesday and they won't be training :) ) they are waiting for the big guns to launch it !

Better dopey than those dodgy super-model "hard-man" poses the Munster lads seem to be doing in ads all over the place...

You don't get to wear them.
The players like the new training gear and thats all that matters with that range of apparel really.

Actually no the IRFU like the jersey and that is all that matters, the players have to wear it whether they like it or not

Who the hell are those guys?

OK in the top picture I recognise Flannery, Cullen and I think Buckley. But who are the wallies in the second picture? I don't recognise any of them.

Should I go to more Connacht matches?

    :D

Au contraire, the teamwear is actually ordered in consultation with the team management and ourselves.

Niall Ronan (Munster, Shannon) is in the middle in the second one. Don't know the others.

    Wallies...... seriously.

Fergus McFadden, Barry Murphy, Niall Ronan, Denis Hurley and Sean Cronin.
