Hello all,

I am currently managing lots of data through excel.

    All results are graphed.

In order to graph the information using bar charts, I would like to be able to enter a number to a cell..(1 or 2 etc) and after the number entry the cell will change colour to either blue or yellow, depending on number entry. This cell colour will then be the same colour on the bar chart.

    Can any body help.?????

Hmm, to change the cell background depending on the numerical value, just use the 'Conditional Formatting' option in the Format menu-bar. I think that the rest is self-explanatory then. To change the background, click on 'Format' on the subsequent dialogue box that appears, go to the 'Patterns' tab, and then choose your desired colour (which should match that used in the bar chart).
