Can anyone reccommend a good pair of ladies shoes, suitable for wearing to work, i.e. medium heel, black, can be worn with skirt or trousers, but most importantly -comfortable.

As much as I'd like to I can't bear the pain of wearing stilettos for a full day as I would be running around alot.

The best I've seen are Clarks but they are a bit 'grannyish'.
    Thanks:)

Hush Puppies are really comfortable for work - I work on my feet all day and these are the best investment I ever made!

Not sure how to post an image but i'll try...

Yeah Hush Puppies do some lovely shoes. They've got a style called Adlington that are lovely. This is them:

Very comfortable and not that expensive either. They're in the sale in Barratts at the minute too. Saw them there a few days ago!

Clarks aren't that bad :-) They're my default work shoe. The ones I have are very similar to the Hush Pup pic :)

In fairness to Clarks, they can do quite nice shoes on occasion and they're comfortable. Schuh sell Hush Puppies, so definitely check them out too.

Anything with a thicker, or slightly platformed, sole will be more comfortable, as will a thicker (rather than stiletto) heel.

DrMarten's do some lovely day wear shoes. If you're in Dublin check out China Blue in the arch going into Temple Bar. They have the biggest selection on non-boot DrMarten's I've seen around.

another vote for clarks - you will always find something stylish and comfortable.

M & S are good too - you have to remember that when it comes to work - comfort is number one as you are in the shoes for a helluva long time.
