    Yep, it's called Safari :D

Seriously though, just use m.boards.ie as a bookmark. Works grand. Its what i use on the move!

Not a bad idea, tho I doubt demand would warrant building such a specific app. Maybe a forum reader app that was compatible with vbulletin forums would be successful?

It would be great to have a forum specific app rather than using the mobile version of the site....something more specific for the iphone would be nice

i just setup the generic app, forums+ to work with boards.. grand for reading thread and quicker than safari but at the same time, it's very bland looking and i doubt i'll use it.

    i'll screenshot it if requested.

    open safari,
    go to m.boards.ie
    click the + sign
    click add to home screen

not a standalone app but opening via the icon takes you straight to boards in safari

m.boards.ie is not a great effort to be honest.

A proper app would be the business though.

I agree with you there. But its handy for keeping track of a thread when on the move. Alot easier than loading the full page.

m.boards is great IMO. It doesn't have clunky graphics taking up stuff and uses small amounts of memory.

Granted, I would like more access to my control panel but that's just a small quibble.

Actually, One trivial downside is that other websites use very similar mobile forum's and I always think i'm on Boards when i'm on another completely different forum, lol.

This is the best option, i've loads of bookmarks on the home screen

I think m.boards.ie works great, if anything it's easier to use than the full version. Clicking on the threads brings you straight to the last page, it's far less cluttered looking than the full version and the stickes are much easier to distinguish from the threads.

I use my iPhone for posting much more than the pc. Even for updating tables etc it's great. My biggest prob is the fact that I have instant access 24/7 which can lead to drunken posts

I find the margins are far too wide on the iPhone, so the text comes out way too small. If you magnify it then you are scrolloing back and forward as you are reading every line of a post.

The sad thing is that thats a bug that is so simple to fix. Just half the width of the page. Job done. If that was done it would be far more useable.
