i just got myself a 120gig ipod classic. I use itunes and thus transferred all my music from my mac to the ipod. What i have noticed is that some songs finish early and move onto the next song with sometimes up to a min or more left on the song. I transferred all the songs in one go(about 14000 songs) and thought mabe this could have caused the problem???

    Has anyone any suggestions??

Also what file types does the ipod hold regarding movies? i tried transfering a movie clip to the ipod but it wont work for me. It will show up as an icon when i go into the ipod via desktop but it is not there when i access it away from laptop??

    Again any suggestions??

    Cheers

The first issue with the skipping songs could be a number of things, does it only happen with particular albums or songs? Where did these original songs come from? Did you download them or rip them? There could be an encoding error, in which case you could try ripping them again or try doing this:

Otherwise have you tried restoring it with the newest software available in iTunes? If these steps don't work you may have a hard drives with corrupt sectors and you should get onto Apple straight away for a replacement.

As far as video goes, the iPod accepts video in the .mp4 or .m4v format, you need to convert any video you want to view on your iPod into these formats and use iTunes to transfer it onto your iPod in much the same way as you would with music. There are a number of applications that do this including iSquint and Handbrake.
