    just looking at 1977 superstars on ESPN now and i used to love these shows...imagine this on now...what happened the show..???..i suppose with sky sports now there is more pressure on stars now for their time than 20 years ago..

    Is that the programme that Declan Burns with the beard used to win always? Jimmy Mcgee used to narrate it .. I remember that years ago..they used to do obstacle courses etc... very good but how in the hell did I remember declan burns?

    He used to be very good at the chin ups. I think he then went on the Live Mike or something like that and broke the world record for chin ups in a minute.

    BBC tried it a few years ago with Johnny Vaughan and the lovely Suzi Perry presenting. It was all retired sports stars though, didn't have the same edge to it. I'd imagine the insurance costs alone would scupper using most current sports people.
