    I noticed that Jeremy Staunton's moved to Leicester to cover fot Flood.

    Any other Irish lads of note flitting about in France, England, etc?

    David Gannon from Connacht has moved to Southland( i think an NPC Team) in New Zealand for the NPC

    I would be very surprised NZ already has 5 S14 teams- Melbourne is the fav to get a new S14 team.

    Heard there's potentially 4 teams to join in the coming years. Southlands and Otago look set to merge to create a franchise. If it were to happen I think Gannon would be set to gain from it.

    Would be amazed if Gannon got a Super 14 contract, not that he lacks the talent. Really think Leinster should have brought him back from Connacht two years ago.

    Not gonna happen.
    There is no way NZRU could afford it.
    There is no way to further the NZ unions could add another super rugby team without compromising the others. Even more so down south.

    The Highlanders struggle to pay a 22 man squad.

    Southland and otago merged to create a franchise years ago.
    Its called the Highlanders.....

    I's say thats untrue as they've been talking about pulling the S14 franchise from Otago. Mainly because of the pitiful attendence figures. Personally I dont think they have the talent pool to support 5 teams let alone 6.
