Need to repair a ring. It's been stood on but the metal hasn't been broken or anything, just the stone has popped out. It means alot to someone very special to me so I need to get it fixed. Does anyone know of any places that will fix a ring like that?

Unless you give your location I don't think anyone can give you a name.

A tip though.... my grand aunt is a dealer in expensive jewellery, and she told me most 'reputable' jewellers when given a ring to fix or re size will take out the real diamonds and replace them with fakes, as the customer wont know the difference. so if you can find someone you know, or recommended preferably from someone you know

Thanks for that response. The stone is very unique so I don't think it will be stolen. Any idea how much it will cost?

    I'm in dublin btw

There is a place in Terenue that did a lovely job with my pearl engagement ring which is very delicate. I can't remember the name but they are the only jewellers in terenure they about one shop up from the butchers when you're coming from Rathgar towards the crossroads in Terenure.

There's a place in the Stephen's Green shopping centre which specifically does jewellery repairs. I'd also try Weirs, I think the repair place is on the top floor. I have had stuff done here.

There's a jewellery repair place at 94 Middle Abbey Street called Patrick Glynn. It's been there for year and I have used them lots of times. The doorway is near Arnotts Bargainshop. Just ring the bell, they are on the first floor. Real experts and not expensive.
