    Hi,

I went skirmishing last Friday and towards the end of the day the range and power of my JG M16A2 started dropping. So I said fair enough the battery is dead.

So I charged my battery since and bought it out plinking today and for the first 20 shots everything was A-OK but after them few shots I experienced the same problems I did on Friday.

I charged the battery for about an hour after and tried it again and I noticed it was the exact same as before.

    Any ideas?

the range shouldnt be affected at all by the battery power. it sounds like you might be having some other issues going on. do ya have another known good battery to try in the gun?

    Hop-up problem maybe?
Could be a bad seal in the gearbox?

Well I tried a brothers stock MP5 battery and it was no different.

I dont think its the hop-up as I fiddle with it and there was no change.

To me it sound that as you said there might be a bad seal.

Ok I took it apart and from what I see the small tube which connects to the barrel is cracked. Could this be whats causing it? And if it is how did this happen during a skirmish?

thats a broken air nozzle. it can happen from using dodgey BBs. you'll get another one from the likes of ehobby etc. it'll need a full strip to install it.

Also the bb's were from the lads in Cork.

THat may be so but, a slightly deformed BB is the most likely cause.

it could be anything from sh1te BBs, reusing BBs, dirt in the mags getting into the hopup chamber, manufacturing fault with the nozzle etc etc. a new nozzle isnt that expensive though, :)

Well I put a bit of tape on it in the meantime and its working grand now but I hope to replace it in the near future.

if you keep yer gear nice and clean and only use new bbs and the gun has been well run in then it'd probably be the bbs
but those wolf armouries bbs that cork had are grand i never had an issue with them so its not defonate

Well the only way to keep that area clean from what I know is to spray some silicone spray in the feeding port and I am constantly at that.
