Hey I have'nt had my laptop long and its started to freeze a lot and crash. My sister has same laptop and its fine, when im on internet its very slow between pages. I have'nt been downloading any dodgy things, Ive been quite careful. Would anyone have any idea whats wrong or any recommendations on how to fix or find outthe problem. The only thing I can think of is that i might be running out of memory but would this effect internet and does anyone know how to check memory space.

    Cheers guys..

What laptop is it exactly? Inspiron 1300, 6400, 1525 etc? How old is it? And how much RAM do you have? I presume you're running vista?

its the 1525, Im not sure how much RAM i have? Where would I check that? I know I ordered more RAM than the standard package offered. Ive started programming and have a lot of small programs saved which I should probably delete but I cant imagine them taking significant space. And yes I am running vista. its nearly a year old.

Run msconfig program and block unnecessary programs from running at start up.
Go to start -> accesorries -> run then type msconfig and press enter.
