Couple of eeePC problems

    i got an eepc 1000 a few months back and after an update , it bypasses the BOIS page and say " starting system". I did a Google but couldn't find any thing.

    I also have eepc 701 which I installed easy peasy, which work great , so test deccied to test it out on the 1000, but the wirless not worling , after googling it said that I need eee-control I found it in repos for the eeepc, removed eeepc-control, install on live version but I couldn't find it on the menu. If some can point in right direction.
