Can you only use the Mario Kart wheel with MK on the Wii? I am finding it a tad difficult, am flying at it on the DS, but the wheel is so difficult. Can you play it with a controller?

You don't need it, its just a holder for your wiimote, however, I think it's more fun with it, it just takes a little time to get used to it.

You can also play it with a gamecube controller, wiimote and nunchuk or (I think) classic controller.

Thanks to you both, I want to play it with cursor buttons, so the classic controller would be the best option I think?

Would it not be cheaper just to use the nunchuk?

You will get used to the wheel in time, it's great when you do.

Thanks Retr0gamer - so just connect the nunchuk to the Wii remote and use the cursor on the nunchuk?
Yeh some of the courses I am fairly good with the wheel, but the rainbow course takes me about 5 minutes to clear, I keep falling over the edge.
The DS is so much easier, although I have been playing that for 2 and half years at this stage.

Yup, that's all there is to it.
For the Rainbow one simply learn the track, so you know the best line to take to set yourself up for the upcoming corners, use powerslide sparingly, and ease off the accelerator momentarily if the corner is too tight

Yeah just to confirm, you can also play with the classic controller too.

My friend Orla kicks my ass on Mario Kart using the Wiimote and Nunchuck! It's pretty much like a retro control pad (Using the D stick on the Nunchuck to steer) when used for Mario Kart.

Yep Wiimote and Nunchuck is the way to go
