Not sure if this is the best thread for this!

I'm looking for a camera and recorder to be fitted to a vehicle, camera need to be outside.

I want to capture parts of a cycling event, any ideas?

i have a camera + recorder for sale.. its 350 euro for a small bullet camera that can be put anywhere.. ( even under water) the recorder has a screen and all.. it does you tube HQ quality..

you could attach it to the handle bars and get the whole race.. and get cut aways later.. make up a good edit..

or do you want to be out of a sun roof type of thing videoing people cycle?

saw pcworld have these small flip cameras

sell a strap mount for it and under water case

probably not great quality though and basic... depends on how much you want to spend and the quality needed. Could probably get a cheap camcorder and work around that

took some car video a few months ago with digital camcorder, the vibration can make things a bit shakey, one of the videos uses a deshaker processing to smooth the video out

I was thinking of mounting it on the back of the support vehicle to film the cyclist.

€350 is a bit steep, I'm not sure if I'll use it again after this.

I will also look at helmet cams.

i do hire out broadcast ones at 150 euro a day...

also if its going to be on just one point of the car you have to keep it there for the whole race which will be very hard...

i'd hire one off some of the lads that do the good incar cameras in the rallycars svs or micro cam id be the two id recommend very good quality i know svs is about €150 for a incar camera for a day and its broadcast quality id stay clear of the other cause i saw nothing but poor quality from them
