About to register with ACCA and am considering doing the distance learning course instead of classes with BPP for the first module - thinking of doing F6 first.
Am I mad or is it possible to do this?
Just finished IATI and found the majority of lecturers useless and ended up doing it all on my own before the exams anyway.
Would appreciate any guidance on this :)

    Hiya,

I would definitely go with the BPP study texts etc

I wouldn't even bother with the home study option they have as you never really need to contact a tutor and the one time I did they never got back to me.

I have done all ACCA exams by home study and now have 3 to go.

There are always lots of people you can talk to online if you get stuck on something.

    Hi

If you've just finished IATI and did their Tax option then definetly do the F6 home study

I did IATI but only selected tax in the first year. The ACCA syllabus had much of the Income tax from the first year on it. CGT and Corp Tax was new to me, but i think they may have been on the IATI 2nd year syllabus

You could also do the F4 law - same as old IATI really.

Use the past papers and syllabus guides and you;ll see what i mean.

I agree with the last poster, if you;ve done IATI recently , you really don;t need to pay extra for home study plus option - you have all the skills and knowlege already.

Opentuition.com is a useful website to use for a little guidance re the difficulty of the subjects

I am thinkin of doing the IATI Yr 2 by distance learning, and I am looking for some info. I did the yr 1 IATI by lectures and didn't find them great. I was wondering if they supply audio material or just books if you choose to do it by distance learning?
    Any info would be appreciated!
    Thanks
