Maybe not a lot compared to the prices in major cities but in a rural county in Ireland which has a small army of hairdressers, the price doesn't come under 40 quid. I know, not a lot, but when you aren't working and every cent counts it's a bit dear! grrrrr

    For getting what done?

A half head of highlights with a cut and blowdry in Jeff Devine in Cork city costs €130.

When I lived in Edinburgh, a full head of highlights with a cut and blow dry in one of the top salons in the city cost ~£60 (albeit with a 40% student discount, available all year long). Prices in Ireland in general are astronomical, and you'd get laughed out of the place if you asked about a student discount on colour.

A lady's cut and blow dry in Jeff Devine costs €49.50. I just don't understand how they can charge that much.

I was in shock yesterday, got a wash, cut and blowdry for €35. My hair is mid-long hair closer to long and very thick it used to cost almost €60 in my last place! Neither of which are city centre hairdressers

    Junaberry?

I got a wash, cut and re-style there for €35 and was very happy with it as I got a cut a few weeks ago that I really didn't like. So I consider the stylist to have fixed my hair. And for under €50.

€14 for wash cut and blow dry. Sometimes it pays to be a guy. :D

I pay €75 for a cut, but I've had so many hair disasters that I'm just delighted my stylist isn't a butcher :D
