With the size and diversity of the forum now (we have peaked at over 120 people viewing at any one time) it is getting harder to keep track of teh really good stuff and a lot of the newer members may not see or know of some of teh good stuff that went on in the past. A good case in point is the recent thread asking about Spring marathons - we used to have a thread with an index of reviewed races but it's now been "lost". Likewise we have a lot of stickies but I'm not sure they are the "right" stickies or if they should even be there...

I'm going to chat to the other Mods but I want to update the Charter thread so that it is a 1st stop and as well as the Charter it has a "key thread index", links to all of teh popular threads so that we can then unstickie them.

But there are lots of things that we could / should be preserving separately. The reviews I mentioned, for example, don't really fit in a thread format. Some of teh really good training advice tips, info you need to know before your 1st marathon or Tri. Maybe teh lists of athlete rankings. All teh standard info that doesn't change that often but that is a great resource to have.

And teh obvious place is the Biki. Robin made a great start on it a little while back but I would love a group of posters to take it over and really drive it on and develop it. The Mods can't - we are pretty stretched as it is. Does anyone out there fancy taking a stab at it?

    gentle bump.

I'm sure Robin will volunteer once his hangover clears and I have one other by PM. Noone else want to lend a hand - not much work involved and you will have the undying respect of your peers :D

I saw this earlier and was wating to let others have a crack at it, rather than woddle trying to monopolise everything :D again, but I'd be more than happy to help but would need a full beginners guide on how to use the biki and stuff.

Happy to help out with working on the biki, or just pointing people in the right direction with the coding of it. If you have had a bash at any HTML or similar previously though then you'd not have a problem with biki code. Otherwise give me what needs to be said and I can put it in there.

I've got a bit of a sore head this morning though and will still be a bit unreliable in when I'm online for the next couple of months.

happy to help with the biki - think alot of tergat's posts original posts could be linked there as references. would this be a time to suggest the 'tri' get's moved to its own forum/sub-forum?

Good stuff, plenty of heads here to keep everything ticking along without anyone having to do too much and Robin & RK are techie enough to be able to work out how it all hangs together. RoyMcC also volunteered himself so thats another wise head to add to the list. I'll leave it up to you guys to sort it out, but if you need anything doing in here give me a shout :)

Emerald - not sure that Tri is big enough yet to get by on it's own but you could always pop a thread in teh main forum and see what people think.
