    NO!

Meteor do not provide cover in Prague, they barely provide it here.

Anyway, as long as your phone is modern, i.e Tri Band GSM, then you will be able to pick up ANY phone network in Prague that is in the area.

Your choices in the Czech Republic are 02, Vodafone or T-Mobile.

Any of them will do just fine IMO.

crap! that's gonna make meeting up with people there hard! Do you mean by that that it will pick up another network instead like it would in Germany/Spain etc? It's just that in other countries like Slovenia it would pick up nothing!! :(

Your phone may or may not pick up a network all by itself. Your own settings might be to manually select a network so your phone will NOT search for a network. This does not mean networks do not exist.

Slovenia for example has 4 GSM networks so by not finding one I would imagine you do not know your phone very well.

Every cellular company in the developed world uses the same Tri Band GSM system so as long as you know how to select a network your sorted.

Also, just because you bought your phone from Meteor and your phone selects a network Automatically(as opposed to the first example), it DOES NOT mean that the network you have signed onto is the preffered roaming partner for Meteor, its simply the strongest signal your phone could find.

I think you really need to speak to Meteor

wow blind leading the blind in here.

A dual band phone phone will work. If you don't know what that is don't worry , you'll be fine.

For slovakia you need to prepay money to Meteor when you go away.

Hardly, a dual band phone will NOT work in all countries. There is no sense leading the OP up the garden path by saying this because they will simply end up using this notion in all countries.

A Tri ban GSM Will work obviously, so thats the best advice that can be given.

The OP never asked about roaming partners. They asked did METEOR have a service in Prague. Obviously not.

hi sorry i phrased the question wrong, I didn't mean does meteor have coverage over there, I meant would it automatically connect me to a different companies coverage. In most of Europe my phone has automatically connected me to a local network (Spain, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary etc!) whereas in Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia I was not able to connect to any other network automatically or manually so I was just wondering if anyone who has a meteor phone and has been to Prague recently knew if it would be able to connect to a local network over there. It would be very stressful for me if it didn't since I'll be arriving into the country alone and have to find people there! Thanks for the replies!! :)

Blind leading the blind all the same.

While the OP asked a specific question it was fairly obvious what he meant.
