Hey guys, I'm interested in prurchasing a centrefire rifle (I currently own an Anschutz .22wmr). I'd like to get out to a range of about 200m-300m. I was wondering if anyone could point out some of the differences and pros/cons of the .222 and .223 cartridges. I am not really interested in using the rifle for hunting.
Also, I would like to spend under €1000 if possible and would like a heavy, free-floating barrel. Could anyone recommend a few rifles to investigate? Thanks a million!

.222 was a benchrest cartridge, so probably a better choice for a range-only gun. Only problem will be sourcing ammo, only seen it once myself.
