Something tells me they're going for the Notebook audience on this (perhaps it's the dreadful music).

I really hope they leave the morally ambiguous things in there but I have a sneaking feeling they won't.

I can see my female friends who refused to read the book (eew Sci Fi) lining up around the corner for this one!

Not getting good feedback from that trailer. Rachel Mcadams ftw tho.

Loved the book, and Rachel McAdams seems perfectly cast, really hope they haven't gutted the book though.

I'd suggesting at least reading the book first.

Oh one of my favourite songs of the last while. It's called Broken by Lifehouse. It's been used in quite a few soundtracks before like Grey's Anatomy.

I LOVE, love, loved the book. Why do they have to make so many adaptations instead of original screenplays. I'm just getting over what they did to My Sister's Keeper!

The novel IS good but I'm a little apprehensive about this film.

The screenwriter was responsible for 'Ghost' and the excruciating 'My Life'. I don't have high hopes for this at all although I do like McAdams & Bana.

    I rest my case. :P

The book is very good (and those who know me know I'm not a chick lit kind of gal) and there is a lot of the plot and subtext that doesn't sit very comfortably when reading it, look up a few posts for one of the things, but what I liked about it is that it didn't apologise for it.

That book was no way chick lit. Cecilia Ahern is chick lit. TTTW was some kind of science fiction/romance novel/adventure/detective story. It was very good too.

Yep, that was my point to those assuming it is.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button kinda reminded me of TTTW when I saw it.

I read the book and found it seriously disappointing. It had some very good elements and ideas, but it abandoned them and diverted into a cynically "emotional" story.

The trailer for the movie suggests that they have taken the worst elements of the book and ran with them, while abandoning anything that made it interesting.

LOVED the book! Always thought it would be impossible to make into a movie so I'll be interested to see if they've pulled it off!

Not sure about that trailer though..does look a little 'chic flic' which the book is NOT!
