    'new tracking code'

    'legacy tracking code'

do i need to enter both?
    Should i just add it/them to 'header.php'

what if i need to check hits on a certain page as well?

I think you only add one, and that the code should be added just before the end body tag, so probably in your footer.php if you have one

i was under the impression that this updated immediately?

No. It only updates at around midnight.

I think when I set it up it took a couple of days before anything was displayed

    From that page you linked
If your tracking code has been installed correctly, and you're still not seeing any data after 24 hours, read I'm not seeing any data in my reports.

Put in the new GA.js code.

Recommended to drop it in before </body> but you can place it anywhere.

How are you not using <body> tags?

    What's the link?

You should start seeing some data after 2-3hrs if you've any traffic.

Was interested to see how a web page can't have body tags :P

If in doubt, drop the code in twice?

What's with all the inline styles and lack of <head> content?

We looking at the same page? All styles are in a CSS file and there's Meta content in the head for me...

    hmmm the head is there,
jeez didnt realize i put it in footer as well !
pretty much a rush job - terrible dead lines, never got around to removing the inline styles. These sites only act as micro sites so life span is always short.

alot of work involved, custom coupon generation, validation for them [data extracts and uploads], auto mated emails etc etc etc

Must be pretty tight deadline, if basic web principles went out the window

    No title tag!

Yeah, actually, it was. I really didn't ask for feedback/C&C.

And i did not want to link the site directly as i dont want this showing up on search engines/paper trail, so if you could please remove it

    Thanks
