yes but i believe you must be unemployed for the 6 months before qualifying .
i think it is a strange move from the government . they offer partime courses which take from 2 years to 4 years to complete - would it not have been wiser to offer full time courses to try and get people back into work and off the dole that bit quicker , bit of a boomer for people unemployed only recently who wont qualify , doesnt seem to be a lot of help from the government to support the latter - fas thats about it which i might add is the biggest waste of government resources ever in my opinion

I'm guessing they kept it part-time (evening?) so people would keep looking for a day job.

No - I started a part time graduate course and it is two mornings a week. Anyone else started one of these courses? How are they finding it??

The last time I looked, yes it is! But for the course I am interested in, it's in DUBLIN. I'm not Irish, but by my reckoning it's:

    a) NOT Cork
    b) About 200 miles from Cork....:D

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

all info at the mo is 2010 which is a pain. you'd think that some day the whole third level system would after nearly 80 years be able to be in sync'.

Most third level places undergad and post grad need to be applied for before the grant forms come out. which is a pain when you need to plan financially.

The impression at the mo is that the state is on freeze until this 'jobs budget' comes out. One gets the feeling that with the new regime , the stark light of being in the driving seat has sobered them up a little.

There are no pointers from any of the state bodies, either they're working very hard or they have frozen.
