Will Rip Van Winkle ever win again?

I thought at the start of the season that Rip might never win again.
He wont beat Mastercraftsman over 1m or Sea the Stars over 1m2f or Fame and Glory at 1m4f. So whats left?
Only chance I think is the Breeders Cup Classic, American horses look week this year and the English dont usually go over for the Classic.
    Thoughts everyone?

There are still a huge amount of Group One Races over those distances (24 I can think off, though I'm including Japan and Hong Kong and the Breeders Cup in there).
Sea The Stars is likely to race only twice more and Coolmore obviously have control over where FAG and MasterCraftsman race. So its not impossible that a G1 race could be picked out for him.

    I think he'll win tommorrow.

Ghanaati wont win coz they're not running in the car park and Paco Boy's going a furlong further than he should, giving too much too much weight. Your right though, I'm not sure he'd win against any of the ones you mentioned at said distances. Although I'm a fan of Mstrcrftmn, I'd like to see him and Rip in a match at 8f. Rip did beat the Mastercraftsman in the Guineas.

You'd think theres minimal if no chance that you'l see RVW race in those countries, although I read an artical about the big race week in Japan where, an extra prize fund (some where in the region of 1m of either Dollars or pounds) is available to foreign horses exclusively.

There are a huge amount of G1's available to RVW considering he'll go 8, 10 and 12f confidently.

I think they raced Dylan Thomas in Japan and Singapore last November and December? Obviously he was a 4 yearold and I don't think they've gone the Asian route with a 3 yearold yet but its possible.

To be honest I was more quibbling with the OPs assertion that because RVW isn't likely to beat 3 named horses then there is nothing much else for him to win. I think we can forget just how many G1s there are in the campaign if you really really really want to win one. (I'm assuming theres no point running him at a lower level).

Maybe they'll be happy to retire him with his current 'nearly horse' record and market him to mares below top class which is a lucrative market anyway. Maybe they'll keep him for a big campaign next year. Maybe they'll lay him out for the Triumph Hurdle (last ones a joke).

    Fairly common APOB tactics.

    I totally agree..Shenannigans!

To be fair there was that horse that died after Fallon said he didn't feel right on the way down to the start...

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing he only ran in those races because he was going to stud in Coolmore's Australian base...

    That was Horatio Nelson.
RVW was very impressive yesterday. Imo mastercraftsman would never beat RVW and murtagh would choose him over MC everytime. It`ll be interesting to see which races he chooses for each horse and some fun times ahead.
I`d also be interested in seeing the rematch with STS as O'Brien wasnt to upset over being beaten in the eclipse and i`m sure if both turn up in A1 condition for the rematch if der is one it`ll be another great race and i wouldnt be suprised to see the places reversed.

O'Brien heals the sick and lame ;) I wonder did a vet get near the animal?

Ballydoyle's job is all about stallions so you must remember that any comment on a horse is based on its stud value, be it good or bad news. Stories such as 'the best i ever roade' are a regular thing but feel that the stories about RVP are a bit over the top though.
