Looking for a Running Store in Munster

Basically all I have been able to find are typical chain sports shops etc that don't really offer much help in choosing the right footwear for the individual.

I know of a few places in Dublin that check how you run etc before recommending any footwear but I'd rather not head up just for that.

Does anyone know of something in Munster. I am based in Tipperary so the closer the better :)

I would totally recommend John Buckley too. Im living in Tipp and went down a few weeks ago. Found the guy I was speaking to excellent. He really knew what he was talking about- what runners would be best for me, socks, gels etc. You get a 10% discount card too. Im heading down there next week again to get more stuff and hopefully more advice from them. Great to go to a place and talk to people who actually run. I once went into a sports store in Limerick and asked about the best runners for long distance running with neutral gait, the guy said 'I think the pink ones would look best'

Agreed i have been in sports shops overhearing sales people trying to sell shoes saying these are the best without any consideration for what the customer asked for. "Oh get these Pegasus they the most popular" was the response to his biomechanical question

there's outfield sport in Carrick on Suir, no experience of them but they do gait analysis

But I would agree with everyone when they speak highly of John Buckleys in Cork they are great in there.
