Hi I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. My friend's computer automatically installed the latest microsoft updates today. Since then he's found his laptop very slow. Also it won't recognise any device that is plugged into a USB connection. He attempted to roll back the system to an earlier date but it keeps timing out. 8 patches were installed and he is currently uninstalling them. 1 however cannot be uninstalled. Can anyone offer any advice as to how to fix this problem. Thanks.

there were no updates released from microsoft today, so they must have been old updates that hadn't been installed yet. maybe google the updates numbers that were just installed and see if anyone else had problems with em....

Same here. Booted computer this evening and Windows Update started straight away and my PC went mad slow! And last time I was on Windows Update was a couple of days ago so something must have been released today.

I didn't have to reboot or anything and PC seems fine now but will reboot and hope it's back to "normal".
