Female singer wanted

I'm looking for a female singer!
Ive been writing songs for a long time on guitar. However I have recently come to the inescapable conclusion that I can't sing them properly!

Ive been doing some open mic nights recently and although I get a great response to the songs themselves I know that my voice is letting them down.

So i would like to see if you could do a better job!! Vocal responsibilities will probably be shared to some degree - but we can figure that out later. Oh and if you can play an instrument - even better.

I want to continue doing open mic nights - as a duo - and then build a band around that. The music is folk/rock/blues/alternative - god knows.

I like bob dylan, bowie, talking heads, otis redding, nina simone - just great songs. I cant tell the difference between any contemporary bands and I have no interest in fashion/music/fashion!

If your interested I have some terrible recordings - recorded on my laptop microphone! I'll send them to ya and if you have any samples and you can do the same.

Hey, not sure if you've already found someone, but I'm 28, female, both sing and play the piano, also write my own songs and love to make other people's music my own!

I've sung in a barbershop type of female vocal group some years back and also used to play keyboard in another band. Live in south Dublin. Have some old crappy recordings of my own on the laptop if you're interested...!

Hey just wondering if you have found your someone to sing with? I have the problem that my writing skills arent up to par with my vocal ability so feel we are a perfect match. My style would be like india arie, colbie calliat, bic runga, brooke fraser. I love Nina Simone, The supremes, Jeff buckley to name a few. I am a female singer, with exprience being in bands and gigging.
I am 27 years old and based in North Dublin.
Im interested in all sorts of music but mainly soulful stuff, ie Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill,Citizen Cope to name a few.

I really want to get back gigging and have writen songs. Im learning the guitar at the momment but Im a better singer than a player.
