Whats the best way to sell your stuff online ?

I recently lost my job (like many others), and I am now strapped for cash. I have lots of bits and pieces in my house that I never use and would love to sell it all online, to bring in some extra cash.
I've never sold anything online before and would really appreciate some advice on the best ways to get rid of my unwanted stuff.

I done it recently, sold old games and stuff, in a week I had €600 extra cash to clear my overdraft from using adverts.ie, ebay.ie.

I did try donedeal.ie too but wasn't much help (although it's still a good site).
