Adding markings to vests and clothing

Where would I find US police markings for sticking to a tactical vest? If I could get high resolution printouts it would do I don't want to spend money on them as they more than likely won't survive the night. Even pictures of what it should look like so I can make them up in photoshop would be very helpful. I've done some searching but can't find any good images and knew this would be the place to ask.

Our town fancy dress is coming up soon (the event of the year) and I plan to get good use out of my tactical vest. I found a town in the US that has the same name as mine and amazingly they put their badge on the website in very high resolution so that's sorted. I'm aiming for reno 911 on exchange but the vest is black, all I need after that if fake moustache, aviator shades and possibly some sort of fake badge on a necklace. I'll be making a t-shirt up as well using iron on printer paper.

I think that should be a well rounded costume.

Obviously guns won't play any part in the costume.

    try 1800nametape.com

I'm not sure of the individual cost, but they do have lots. Shipping is an even $5 aswell, and it's fast. I've used them for all my nametapes.

<edit> ah, just saw you wanted high-res images, me fail. Sorry

Still helpful, there better than anything I came across myself. I'll probably make it up in photoshop I just want it to look right, the US police are usually gold writing on a black background aren't they?

there's a few on there, were you going for any police force in particular?

It's a small town police department, I assume they'd be sheriffs would they? I already have the police department badge for the chest I want to get a police marking for the back of the vest, so it would be pretty big. I'm not sure what else should go on the vest.

I'll make up a t-shirt too, I'm guessing I'll put the badge on the back of the t-shirt and maybe on the sleeve. An American flag will have to go in there somewhere. I went to the police stations website and there running this campaign called D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) A typically American jumble of words that can go on the front.

It's probably not Sheriff's department actually, likely the town has its own municipal cops, even if it is pretty small. If it's a town name it'd be municipal, if a county name then the Sheriff. I'd think silver on black is what I'd associate with municipal cops and gold on brown with Sheriff, but that might be different in different parts of the States.

DARE isn't really a special tactical task force or anything as far as I know (which admittedly isn't very far at all). High school and college kids tend to have a few t-shirts that read "DARE to resist drugs and violence". Bang that into a search engine and you might find something.

    Silver on black, nice one.

I just think the dare campaign is so classic I have to take it up and put it on a tshirt.
