    It's up on studentfinances now.

Good news. Cutting it wouldn't have made sense given that they'll probably have to increase it next year to soften the blow of fees.

It looks like they actually increased the reckonable income band in line with 2008 social welfare increases. So you can earn a little more and still be entitled to the grant.

good news, it's about time too. Could anyone tell me exactly how the adverse change in finances and overtime factors are taken into account. Is it just a letter from the employer saying how much you earned so far this year, that hours are cut, overtime is down etc and the p60 from last year is all that is needed? the notes accompanying the grant do not go into much detail. This is still more promising than I expected though!

Was so relieved to read that.... did they change the bands at all?

Also can anyone tell me... if they take the amount of your social welfare payment into acount in the amount of your earnnings?

I have single parent family payment and my part time salary both ammount to 25,438 per year. Do you think that I will end up in the 100% bracket or the 100% + Special Rate bracket?

*phew* so glad it didnt get slashed and burned, wonder why they told me that in the first place?

Your loan parent payment cannot be included in reckonable income - however you still have to give all details, statements for social welfare etc. so you will be ok for full grant & special rate:D
