There was a LHD R25 for sale a while ago in Cork Citry. Registered, taxed and tested, €300.

    I missed it though.

Bad luck, I was a bit partial to this car, I remember a fella who delivered fruit and veg in one, a v6 with black leather so he must have been doing okay!

the 25 body engine as new probably just need 2 front shocks to get it through nct maybe not just judging from last time it went through nct when it passed ,the 18 has the sills rotten just on front of rear wheels ,new sills with car but not the space or equipment to do them the 18 is 1981 and would like to get a 79 body for it

I did see a LHD Irish reg R25 not so long ago and I occasionally see one or two 25s. The hatch reminds me of the Jensen Interceptor. Of course there are still many Safranes around. There was also somebody in Halfway who used to deal in Renaults, they were all around his house and there were one or two 25s there.

well i work near a Renault dealer but they have none. The 4 I saw were parked in different places, all road worthy and all Mark 2's, with the bee sting aerial.(unless one of them is yours:)) The other ones I saw were up the country, they were covered in another thread but they are all gone now.

I was going out with a nice little girl in the 1980's. I didn't have a car at the time but used to take her home on the crossbar. Them some ugly flash b*stard in a silver R25 with black leather seats whisked her away!! It was like the Starship Enterprise compared to my bike!

    **shakes fist** :(

French cars have a french synth, deffo.

I know this because about 10 years ago I was driving down to Africa with a bunch of French lads, one of who had a 25. The thing used to shout "STOP THE CAR IMMEDIATLEY, TURN OFF THE ENGINE" for a few seconds after he started it up, then he could switch it off. Real bloody annoying. I asked him what the problem was, he said he "doesnt know but is being doing that since he bought it 4 months ago" Car used up more water and oil then it did petrol, stank, smoked more then my granny but kept on going and going. Great car. Always loved the interior too, an insurance guy in our town got one when they came out, the first car I ever saw with a push-button digital station seek on a radio. Hi-tech Hi-spec.:)

From memory the voice synth. unit can be changed into many languages. Its programmed only by using the XR25 diagnostic unit (Renault tool). The English voice is very chappish, The German is male and monotonic, and again from memory the French is the only female voice and very soft. ;)
