I was just wondering if anybody has any knowledge on this subject!! for a few years now i've thought about getting a tattoo and specifically a maori one!

recently i've been doing a bit of research, looking at designs and the like. It seems that some people say it can be disrepectful for a non maori to get one. does anybody know whether this is true or if there are specifc designs that you should or shouldnt get.

any information on this would be great!!

IMO you'd look like a tool. Its as bad as knackers going around with chinese/japanese writing tatoos. IMHO anyway

So glad I've a maori inspired side piece, and thick skin :)

I would call mine maori inspired as opposed to maori as there is no meaning behind it, moko's were reserved for warriors and respected people within the community.
