Inspired by a thread in AH where I saw the program described as "mind rotting".

I'm not a huge fan of the program myself or anything, and I myself have to admit to having slagged it off myself quite a lot, discarding it as useless trash.

However, having being forced into watching it a bit recently (staying in my girlfriend's house for a few weeks, her Ma is a fan) I've got the opportunity to view it from a slightly different perspective. Being afforded the opportunity to watch a group of strangers interact with one another and seeing how the different individuals interact with eachother, the formation of cliques etc. is in theory quite interesting, particularly as the setting the contestants are enclosed in is unique in it's lack of distractions. It is also interesting to watch the program as a non-voter and note how those of the public tend to vote in reaction to situations that arise, for example, that whenever 2 housemates become romantically involved, the female of the pair is almost always immediately voted off the program etc.

In short, I feel a great deal of people may misjudge the program and some of it's viewers in much the same way I did, and would be interested to hear others thoughts on this topic. Discuss.

Here's a suggestion.....why don't you pay a visit to the dedicated Big Brother thread where you will find lots of like minded people to chat to about it.

Big Brother is bull**** television. Who really is entertained watching a bunch of nobodies living their lives under the glare of the camera. It is a glorified ant farm.
