    Hi

Myself and 3 others are travelling to San Fran next week, and looking to rent possibly a SUV (because we will have 4 large suitcases) to travel to San Diego and leave the car back there.

Problem is, Im under 25 and I cant get an SUV for a decent price for the week, Ive tried Carhire 3000, Hertz, Thrifty, Etc.

Any one know what my best bet would be?

    What is a decent price?

The minimum rental age is 21. Try Easycar.co.uk for good deals on SUVs

Does anyone know if there are any car rental companies that don't charge a high surcharge for drivers aged between 21-24?

    http://www.uscarhire.co.uk

I used this company in 2006 and their prices could not be beaten by any Irish company and thats even taking a bad currency exchange rate of 2006 into consideration.

SUV's Galore. They usually use Dollar or Alamo. A guy I met in the hotel had a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Dollar.

Dollar are currently doing a Grand Cherokee and a premium/luxury Dodge Durango. Hideous monster of a "truck"

Alamo are currently doing a Dodge Journey , Chevrolet Equinox ,
Chevrolet TrailBlazer ,Dodge Durango ,Cadillac Escalade ,Chevrolet Suburban

I was 25 when I was renting in the US so there will be no problem.

On the Alamo one. COME ON A CADILLAC ESCALADE. YOU HAVE TO RENT THIS. :D:D

last year we researched all the car rental companies and found aiz to be the chepaest. something like 800/900 dollars for a huge chevrolet for a month! nt bad. MASSIVE boot. dont know if it would fit 4 though. we used to have to put 2 in the back as we had 4 between the 2 of us.
