    Google Analytics is probably the best software out there. its free to sign up to and pretty easy to install on your webserver.

    I have to agree with the above posts. I find analytics to be very useful.

    The other option is Statcounter a fantastic Irish company and yes its free too. Generally most people stick with google though. If your sites big enough you can compare it on Alexa, but it should be noted that its never very accurate and should only be used as an indication.

    It depends what you mean by 'clicks'. Do you mean hits and other stats, if so google analytics is good, I also like Mint. If you want to measure actual clicks on page elements, then there is Clixpy

    Alexa is the only one that ESTIMATES traffic on other sites. Google Analytics and Statcounter are for site owners only, but are accurate.

    Most likely your hosting package will include some stats, but they need to be 'worked on'.
