Is it possible to use a Guitar Hero guitar with Rockband on the Wii?

As the title says, I have a Guitar Hero guitar controller and now have a copy of Rockband on the Wii, is it possible to use them together? So far all I can get is a screen telling me that the microphone is not connected, cannot get to an option for guitar playing in the game? :confused::mad:
