Planning a romantic weekend in Rome in September. Never been before, want to stay in the centre - anyone recommend any hotels for about €300 per night? Looking at tripadvisor at the moment, but any personal boards.ie recommendations would be great.

Went here my first time in Rome, OH booked it, very nice and sooo close to the Collaseum (sp?). Price around on it though via expedia / trip advisor, usually get it cheaper than from their own website.

Looks lovely thanks. Don't know Rome at all, have been told we should say around Trastevere, is that far from where the Colloseum is? I could just look online, am so lazy sometimes!
