I didn't see much of the show in Bray yesterday, but one display I did see and was very impressed by was Eddie Goggins in his Extra 300.

    Nutter :D

Eddie is something else alright. Always brings a smile to the crowd's face ! I've always found his displays more interesting than any fast jet display.

I know this isn't relevant to the thread but is there any other air displays coming up anywhere? Or is there a good website to check? Love them but so far this year have only seen the red arrows in Galway. Thanks..

It was an excellent performance alright. His low pass over the beach at the end seemed to frighten a few people! I was in the middle and as he went low over the south end I did notice a couple of people jump up with fright. The fact he seemed have full rudder applied made it look slightly out of control. Unfortunately I wasn't expecting it at all and missed a good photo opportunity! Have about 300 images to sort through, I'll put some here or in the pics thread in the next few days. Pity bout the black knights and gnat display team too.

What was the first aircraft to fly over - it was a 4 engined jet/transporter?

Thanks, that was it, I think. Pretty impressive and graceful.

I was driving over Windgates towards Greystones at around the time the show as starting and saw something very large climbing into the distance heading south. That must have been it! Didn't they have another of these at last year's show? The one the local SF councillor was kicking up a fuss about in the local rag the week after?

It was indeed a United States Air Force ANG C-17 Globemaster 3 from the 172d Airlift Wing based at Jackson-Evers International Airport, number 3119 on her nose.
