First, it was a mudbath. Then the sun came out. Then the heavens opened. Then the sun came out. Then the heavens opened............you get the idea - and that was the 'yard'. The field with the tractors in it was unbelievable - the pic taken here, with the field on the left pure mud, was the tractor field.

Still a great day out. The heat generated in the Mart from the fleet of steam engines had to be felt to be believed - that and the huge amout of water they consumed, via Fire Tender's.

I even got my car valeted - mud'n'all - and got to ride in a Eurocopter, and fabulous Turkey'n'Ham dinner. For free. (not the 'copter...)

If for no other reason - that's enough reason to own a classic!

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    'frickin' expensive tree, you mean..........

mind you, we haggled.....and got Eur 25 off........my 6yr old son nearly burst with excitement. My 9 yr old daughter on the other hand, slightly freaked, beforehand..........kept asking if any bits of it were made of rubber. Eh ? She wanted it to be partly rubber.........so that lightning wouldn't affect it...:o.......but, she went along with it, and apart from covering her ears because of the noise..........loved it.

quote of the day had to go to the guy on the PA, "why spend hundreds for a ticket to oxygen, when you can have all the mud you want here for a tenner"

    Great show despite the weather.

Jaysus John well done on the pics from the copter.....! What a washout..! The show was fab...I was met by one of the organisers of the event on the way out. He thanked me very much for bringing the car up and apolgised for the mudbath.... ! Theres nothing that can be done about that now in fairness...! The whole event organisation was superb and the hard work of the organising committee was there for all to see ..!

Myself and Mrs.Vanhire went up the night before and seen the steamers all parked up in the Mountbellew square. What an atmosphere... The craic was good in the pub as well...!

Heres the few wee Pics I took
