Hand luggage, duty free cigs and booze

Hiya everyone, am going barcelona with ryanair and i am just wondering what i can bring with me on the way back.

I am just bringing one bag as hand luggage, so no check in. i dont smoke myself but wud like to bring some home for friends.

so, can i buy cigs in duty free and just shove them in carry on bag? or can i only buy them on plane? and is this the same with booze.

i have booked in ticking the whole no bags to check in option, could i still check one in on the day?? or do i have tio have that option ticked when the tickets were originally booked?

You can buy em in duty free yea but not beforehand as you wont get liquids through security, as much as you want since it's in the EU.

It's only as much as will fit in your carry on if you buy it airside, plus your bag will need to stay with the weight allowance of 10kg.

If you were to decide to check in hold luggage on the way back, any saving made would be offset by the costs Ryanair would impose.

...unless there is already no duty on cigs/booze in spain which I don;t know.

But just make sure everything fits in the one bag and stays under the weight/size limits as said before.

No you can not buy duty free as you are flying from one EU country to another EU country. You will have to pay the same price in Dublin
airport as you'd pay in your local shop (€80+ per 200).

Buy them when you're in Malaga, Spanish prices are around the €40 per
200. If you buy them in a Spanish airport you'll pay the same price as
a Spanish shop, again around the €40 per carton of 200.

check out the daa website, there is some new thing now that if your flying withine europe, you can buy dutyfree, but you leave it in the airport and pick it up on your way back - not sure exactly of details , but seen adds for it at the baggage carasols when we came back from hols few weeks ago - mite be worth checking out
smokes mite be cheaper to buy in barcalona though -

It may not technically be duty free but you can pick up bottles of spirits for less than half the price they are here in most EU countries.
