New Customer - Waiting Periods

    Hi all, hoping you can help.

    After having moved into my new apartment I am planning on getting Sky+HD.

    The apartment's in Co Cork and the building itself has a shared dish; the apartment itself is already wired up and all it needs is the box to be plugged in.

    Question is - for a new customer. What are the waiting times like? I'm tempted to see if I can go find a reseller and see if they'd be quicker but I don't know where to find them.

    Anyone got any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks!

    Waiting times vary from area to area. In Dublin, wait time for HD looks to be between 2 and 3 weeks. There is an apparent shortage of receivers. There are a couple of installers post on here, hopefully they see your post and can recommend someone in your area.

    Judging by posts on here, Sky+ can be sorted within a few days.

    Got my invite to complete my order today. I ordered HD on July 14, it's getting installed on Friday, July 31. Not too bad considering it looked like it could be a few months at one stage.

    Hi, I ordered sky+ today and the expected install date is Wednesday and the agent said must of the country apart from Dublin is this sort of turn around time, hope this helps, just a quick one can you track your order on line once you get the viewing card ?

    You need to set up a My Sky account to track orders. Can be done fairly quickly.
