Cudda swore we had a thread on this very subject. ;)

Nope we don't its on the gambling forum! :o

My pick for tomorrow is Truckers Delight, can handle whatever the going might be (soft I'd imagine) appears to have been laid out for this weeks action, a previous winner at Ballybrit. All roads point to 8/1 winner in a pays four places race.

Willie Mullins views on his runners for Monday:

Tarkari (Ruby) runs in the 2 mile novice hurdle. He disappointed on his last run over hurdles at Roscommon but the trip that day may have been too far for him. He has a good chance here as he is taking on his own age group and we think he will be okay on the ground. We have two runners in the featured QR handicap over 2 miles. Lazio (Patrick) is having his first run for us and, while he has a lot of weight, he has been going well at home. He appears to be a good ground horse so we will just have to see how he handles this ground. Mountain Snow (Katie Walsh) always runs well here. He definately has a squeak even though he would prefer better ground. Hayabusa (Patrick) makes her debut in the bumper. This is a tough assingment for a first run but the testing ground will be in her favour.

Its a bit annoying having to flick back and forth from the gambling section to the horse racing section, would it not make sence to have one thread for galway monday and so forth ?

I'm on this each way too. Good horse who likes a cut in the ground and has form on this track. Big E/W chance.

Actually can i ask a question about E/W accumulator. If you've an e/w acc on three horses... two of them win and one gets placed.... do you just get the placed odds on all three or do you get winning odds on those that won?

Your win line lost, and your placed line won, so its the placed odds on all of them. Thats why I like using equally divided in bets like that but thats getting into something different altogether!

    Thanks.

Well I'm still in the running for placing them.... fingers crossed! Not going to get great odds though as my riskier ones were non-runners.

    14:00 Tawaagg (4/5) Win
    14.35 Corrick Bridge (5/1) Non-Runner - Void
    15:10 Teach Nua (2/1) Non-Runner - Void
    15:45
    Miss Chaparral (6/4) Placed (2nd)
    16:25 Roby Cimbre (7/2)
    17:05 Moving Heart (9/4)
    18:15 Precious Gem (6/4)

Have some on Aggies Lad and Oodachee now now for the 4.25 so hopefully cover my bets. :o

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 54 ✭✭quotaj

Actually just did the maths - only going to get something like 2.3/1 for the rest of them - great! Down to Aggies Lad and Oodachee to save the day!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 957 ✭✭✭oppiuy

I've only had one bet at this meeting but my god why is there so much hype about it. It seems to me that its for gangsters as the majority of horses winning have crap form claims leading me to believe that they are being held back for these races and the standard of horses are also fairly poor.

Any way good luck to you all and hope that guy who tipped aggies lad didnt use his mortgage money

anyone got any tips for tomorow?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 54 ✭✭quotaj

I've come to the conclusion that all tips are bull! The odds quoted are the odds that the horse will come in. May as well be playing roulette really.

What's the chances of having tips that Mr Paddy Power hasn't heard and already factored into the price!

    Anyway I'm done! Out.

so sorry to everybody but the ground was a major factor .was talking to the owners martin told them to back it anyway???????25/1 to 12/1.robbie power told them he was beaten going to the start.DO NOTgive up on this horse.tony martin told me to back ross river he never raised a leg and i know he backed it.i think his horses are sick ,aggies lad was 3rd last.i know tony martin he is a lovely guy with no fear, likes his pint of carlsberg but he can train horses.just to end ,i did'nt back aggies because of the ground but anybody that did it's money on lone to the bookies.

The winner of the plate yesterday would back up your claim easily.

I think vital plot has a serious chance today in the hurdle and at 8 to 1 he is worth a e/w bet

Cos 2 of my mates own shares in it and this has been the plan for the last 3 months. Hes had 2 blow outs on the flat and hasnt felt the whip once yet. Hes been laid out for this race and well a Weld horse in galway seems to grow an extra leg at times on that track :)
