Could the dominant high pressure system that seems set to cover most of southern Europe, move over Ireland about 4th / 5th Aug?

If so, it would bring welcome relief!

Clutching at straws, 9 days out, who knows what might happen? July has been a wash-out.

Hate to say it but I have seen smidges of high pressure 9 days out before in the GFS . It will eventually be true , perhaps in september :)

    watch this too .

clcik on "build animation", the jet stream 'block ' disappears on the 31st of July if it permanently fecks off we get a high pressure build :)

Same problem as for the last few years with the jet stream....Ireland seems to in a bad spot geographically to be hit with this "conveyor belt" of bad weather for 3 years in a row.

Heading to London for the Newmarket races, Brother in law over there said the weather man mentioned they were expecting good weather from Friday onwards...
I presume this is the high thats caused Spain to cook....
Could even come over this way and dry us out a bit...???

    My fingers are crossed anyway...

It looks like we might be in for some more windy weather during the first week of August.

You guys might want to check this out.

This weather we're having now was predicted as far back as March!!

    Look under Summary report.

    https://www.predictweather.co.nz/assets/articles/article_home.php?id=68

September will be the best month they say.
