three.ie SMS failing to send?

    Hi,

    Anyone else having problems sending sms on 3? It was working perfect, but I have not been able to send any SMS for 24hrs now, receive is fine. Credit is fine.

    Anyone else affected?

    just wondering, is there anyway I might have caused this...I was testing out my SIM in the laptops built in 3G modem....could 3 of done something to my SIM when they detected it being used in a modem? Calls etc are fine, just cant send any SMS.....really annoying!

    got it working again. Putting my SIM card into the laptop and then using Vodafones mobile connect software screwed it up and overwrote the 3 message service centre number on the SIM. If this happens to anyone else to enter the service centre number on the SIM again do the following:-

    go to your phone, and type *5005*7672*XXXXXXXX# - then hit call.

    xxxxx = your providers message centre number.
