    So what's the problem?

Aren't 123.ie simply a broker? They're not insuring you.. one of the many insurance companies they represent are.

123 are currently a tied agent for St. Pauls Travellers rather than a broker, but its much the same effect.

I'm insured with them on St. Pauls Travellers. Volvo S60 T5. No problem getting a quote from them compared to other insurance companies and a good price. Of course I guess we really need to hear from anybody who has made a claim to see what they are really like.

Why I'm asking is because as TRiPod has said, they'll quote you on practically anything.

Their underwriter is a specialist in risk insurance, well known and reputable; I use 123 for house insurance and never had a bother with them

    2+2 = I think you'll be fine.

Myself and the wife have our motors insured with them and our house. Cheapest we could get.

THey're a reputable enough company. Have their headquaters out in Sandyford. Done part of their audit a few years ago. Think they might be part of the same group that owns Autotrader (in the same building anyways).

123.ie bunch of tossers. Had car repaired at one of their recommeded garages, but now want us to pay 1800 euros for a fault they say wasn't down to the accident, well everything was ok before the accident! Now the car has had smoke pouring into it, but still say it's nothing to do with them. Independant garage says it's not safe to drive, but still they are not interested!

Word of warning, expect them to charge heavily for any mid policy changes. I changed from them last year because I would swap cars a few times a year. If you don't expect any changes, then go with the cheapest.
