just before the start of the last qualifying round yesterday he tipped f. alonso for pole....duly obliged he was 3rd/4th fav not sure of price think around 5's
followed that today just before race began when asked he said lewis hamilton to win by a lot
hamilton started 6/1 now leading by 15 secs 1/10 in boyles
race is ongoing .......may not be a winner but could be backed and layed off at this stage

as usual the horse has bolted and no bet placed but might be worth watchin in the future, obviously he has immense knowledge in the sport

    any thoughts,on F1.

imo there are too many variables outside the drivers control in F1, mechanical failure, puncture, crashing out, driving penalties even stupid team tactics.

All the analysis in the world can't overcome one of those main setbacks.

It's a market id have trouble betting on without big odds, certainly 6-1.

I don't really agree. You could apply everything you said there to horses with a few slight adjustments to terminology. In football a keeper could stupidly throw the ball into his own net. Betting on anything has many variables attached. That's what odds are for.

no doubt,as in most sports, but as i pointed out bet could be layed off 40 mins into race for a tidy profit

If the race goes the way you think it will, of course;)

What happened was Alonso was going on a low fuel strategy and happened to tell somebody. Nothing special.

I often make money out of an Alonso low fuel strategy as the Spanish GP. Makes him look good in front of a home crowd.
