Bright light over dublin

    I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation, but did anyone see a bright light (looked like a flame) over dublin on saturday night around 11pm (yesterday)? It looked like it could have been a balloon, but was moving much too fast, and it was on a very strange path. It was looping up and down quite dramatically, in the shape of a sound wave (like this http://hacknmod.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/sound_wave.jpg). I saw it up reasonably close as it passed my house (near city centre), but couldnt make out what it was.

    u2 were in town and it finished at 11 could it be that!?
    where was it moving or was it just moving up and down as it passed your house!?
    was it moving north,south,east,or west!?
    and thats only the bottom of the barrel in terms of the questions i would like to ask.
    forgive me for the questions: but i'd like to know the story in full please.

    Bright lights in the sky tend to be planes or other air craft. There was an air show (involving formation flying) on that day. I don't know whether planes would still be flying in it at 11pm but that would be my first guess. Though the U2 concert was a good explanation as well.

    most of the time it turns out to be planes, but the OP doesnt support this nor does it support it being a ufo as of yet.....
    sounds like some sort of light show!?
    but i'll also add that i've seen some videos and reports of the same type of cases.
    i'll put a euro on it and say its lights from the concert:D.
