International/ New Student Accommodation Query

    Hello all! I was hoping someone would be able to help me figure out the accommodation application as I'm having some problems with it.

    I was recently accepted as a postgrad student at Trinity and I'm trying to apply for housing as an international student. I started the application process, but when I created an account the password/ confirmation link (to even begin an application) was sent to my TCD email address. I don't even receive information on this new email address until I arrive in Dublin, aka too late to apply for housing.

    I emailed student accommodation saying that I'd like to apply for accommodation using my current email address, but I haven't received a reply. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to apply for housing without using that link?

    Had that same issue and got it cleared up rather quick actually.

    Email your issue to both of these addresses (I cant remember which one I did). The second is where the reply came from saying they had changed my account, the first is where I emailed my problem.

    You can't apply for housing without that link, unless you postage it, but even then I believe you may have to have information that would have been emailed. Its rather annoying the way they have the system set up, I'll be a student in class for almost a month before I have access to my TCD account.

    Also, don't worry about apply as an "International" student. As a post-grad, you will be placed into the post-grad pool of candidates, regardless of where you live. In your application make mention that you are international. I was offered TH for PG, turned it down as I couldn't justify the cost given the location and everything else that came along with TH. If you don't get offered, no sweat, housing is relatively inexpensive and easy to find. PM me if you have any questions.
