Hi, i've never bought anything off ebay before. I need a new phone and am just wondering would ebay be a safe place to buy a phone and would they work no matter what network if you buy them unlocked?

Why you chance buying an item like a mobile phone on eBay when there are shops selling them on every street corner? They are very cheap here and if you have a problem you bring it back - try doing that on eBay. :)

Well there is always a risk of getting something that's not quite right. Check the feedback.... I bought a phone off ebay from a guy in UK, with broken screen, cos I had 2 identical ones with good screens. Swapped screens, works fine, still using it. It was network-unlocked, and it does work with any chip I put in, but it has UK vodafone branding, and seems to have problems accepting new internet settings. I havent looked into it too hard tho, it prob can be resolved. Something to bear in mind anyway, thats my $0.02 worth for ya.
