    Polytron Germany.

There is a separate reseller called Polytron in Bandon.

They also supply factory tuned helical filter combiners for individual channels. Superb for lowering noise and co-channel on a distribution system.

By phone and Credit card. Possibly. It's on the Cork road on way down the hill in a very small Industrial estate. Used to be the Polytron Factory. Check Directory Enquires etc eircom has an online one.

polytron gear is great, but all you need is a simple diplexer .
Triax 5153 , available from any reputable aerial installer/ wholesaler would suit you nicely.

It'd be a Triax TMC5052 he'd need, if he wants one leg to go from E52-E68

    Or, a Johansson 1216F (21-50 + 52-69). In a screened box, uses F-connectors.

you are of course correct, a 5153 would null ch52.

Just spotted this while searching for something else.

Polytron Technology are now based near Kilbrittain Co. Cork and are the sole agents in Ireland for Polytron equipment. They have an impressive client list ranging from RTE to hotel developers right down to local installers.

Distance has never been an issue as they will work with you by phone or email to ensure that you get exactly what you want. They accept payment by credit card. The MD Louis McNamara, is very hands on and friendly and deals personally with all customers no matter how big or small.:)

They have a simple website but it does include a link into the full Polytron Gemany english catalogue.

    No .... Not at all.

Louis McNamara is my Dad. I spotted this thread this morning after registering on the general forums when I did a quick search to see who I might know. He would not be aware that I posted this.

Apart from the familial connection, I have no connection, commercial or otherwise with Polytron. I live in a different part of Ireland and work in a completely different industry / profession.

I just wanted to confirm / update their new address (they moved office earlier this year) and also confirm that as far as I know, that they are happy to take small telephone orders as well as the bigger clients orders.

    Hope that this clarifies!

    Kind regards,

    Stuart McNamara

Fair enough, aplogies Stuart. Just that you will see a lot of people with 1 post especially on Consumer Affairs talking glowingly about a company. Particularly funny if the thread is slamming the company or a massive bargain alert.
Thanks for the clarity, never even knew they existed. Does your Dad's company do simple stuff or is it loft boxes for houses or just more serious installations i.e. apartments?

No probs at all. I actually own a few boating forums myself in one of my other lives so I'm aware of all the tricks and chancers:rolleyes:.

My Dad was General manager of Polytron from 1976 to the mid 90s while they had a manufacturing operation in Ireland in Kinsale.

When that moved back to Germany, Louis and Barbara McNamara set up Polytron Technology Ireland to market Satellite Head End Systems, small to medium transposers and other stuff (distribution Amplifiers etc..) that I wouldn't know about.

I know that RTE and other TV stations have been important and long standing customers at the "bigger stuff" end of the market (Transposers). They have also supplied local legal deflector companies and building firms fitting out hotels, hospitals, apartments etc. with Sat TV systems.

As I said, I work in a different profession and industry completely so I'll say no more on the tech side in case I make a mistake.:o

I do know that my Dad, Louis, is always happy to take a call from anyone looking for advice and has often taken a few hours to sort out a problem for someone who is only going to spend a few euros on a small project. He always reckons that the favour comes back to him some way. Give him a shout in the office during normal hours or email him. Tell him I sent you !!!!:D

    Kind regards,

    Stuart

Thanks Stuart, you should tell him to come on here, advice from experts is always welcome and might get people to know about his company, never heard of it before and he is only 10 mins away from me!
