having issues for the last couple of weeks where if I'm downloading rapidshare links it will download a few and then freeze, I'm using Flashget, now you might blame that but its always worked for me, interesting thing is that if i try to browse to the rapidshare.com site I get a connection error it's like the site is unreachable. If anyone has a premium rapidshare account on UPC are you having the same issues?

No problems here with rapidshare. I do however have problems with google/youtube. Rapidshare is a legitimate website so i dont see them blocking it.

might be a flashget issue then, although the links i'm downloading are 200mb and 8-10 at a time. Going to try Jdownloader see how i get on with that.

It's that time of the week for the paranoid omg-my-isp-is-blocking-my-warez! thread already? Mad, ted.

well as UPC are having contention issues nothing would surprise me the lengths they would go to :)
Anyway it seems to be a flashget issue as Jdownloader is working fine

yes, it's a legitimate website full of illegally shared tv show, movies, mp3's, software, games and porn. totally legitimate.

not that i've anything against that, just don't be kidding yourself it's a legit site. it's no more legit than the hundreds of torrent sites out there doing exactly the same thing. :)

Think I had that problem myself a while back, It was becasue I gave the account details to the brother for downloading, they seen the two differant ip address and cut it.

No problem with me using Jdownloader, the speed is acting up for me, if download ftp file my speed is perfect, but speed is acting up when i use RS, speed goes up to 1.2mb/s then down to 400kb/s then 600kb/s, i am sure they are blocking some IPs using their firewall to controlling traffic
